The thermosensitive substrates allow to have more efficient skin cell cultures in the form of continuous sheets in comparison with the traditional method of obtaining cell cultures necessary in the process of treating extensive wounds and burns.The method of obtaining the substrate, developed as a result of the project, is simple and leads to better results than the methods known before.

The 2014 “Focus Lenses” Competition is aimed at distinguishing the most interesting and innovative scientific projects in three categories:medical innovations, technical innovations and IT innovations.
The Center was nominated in the “medical innovations” category for the works on thermosensitive polymers which will facilitate the laboratory development of cells for transplants.
