Program GDRI jest realizowany przez 7 laboratoriów francuskich i 8 polskich.W realizację Programu włączone są również zespoły badawcze z Brazylii, Wietnamu, Portugalii, Hiszpanii i Włoch. Program GDRI obejmuje wspólne badania nad:

- katalitycznym usuwaniem tlenków azotu ze stałych i ruchomych źródeł emisji,
- katalitycznym usuwaniem sadzy emitowanej przez silniki Diesla,
- izomeryzacją paliw ciekłych,
- utlenianiem lotnych związków organicznych (VOC),
- katalitycznym oczyszczaniem wody,
- uzyskiwaniem z gazu syntezowego czystych nośników energii (metanol, wodór, paliwa ciekłe) w procesach reformingu, reakcji gazu wodnego i syntezie Fischera-Tropscha.

Renewable polymeric materials from agricultural origin such as proteins, polyesters, polysaccharides and lignin are currently under-utilised due to the high cost and difficulties in their processing (i.e. further functionalisation).

This Action aims at the development of new highly sophisticated technologies to introduce new functionalities to the surface of polymer materials in order to design smart products with applications in medicine, cosmetics, construction or technical textiles.

In short

The Center belongs to category A of scientific facilities in Poland. It was established on January 1, 2007 as a result of a merger of the Center of Polymer Chemistry of PAN in Zabrze and the Institute of Carbochemistry of PAN in Gliwice – two centers of the Polish Academy of Sciences which, for many years, had been conducting systematic work on the production and properties of macromolecular polymer and carbon materials.
